About Us
A Cultural Home for Ashantis in Coventry and Beyond
Asanteman Coventry UK (formerly Asanteman Midlands Coventry Association—AMCA) was formed to bring together Ashantis in Coventry and nearby towns who share a love for our cultural values, identity, and traditions.
Our constitution (enacted on 20 August 2024) guides our operations and ensures fairness, transparency, and strong governance within the Association.
Our Vision
To build a united, empowered, and culturally vibrant Ashanti community in Coventry, one that inspires pride in our heritage while uplifting the lives of members and contributing meaningfully to society in both the UK and Ghana.

Our History
Strengthened by Constitutional Governance Since 2024
Formerly known as the Asanteman Midlands Coventry Association (AMCA), the Association was restructured and strengthened under a formally enacted constitution on 20 August 2024.
Our Constitution provides the framework for:
- Promote the welfare and well-being of our members.
- Preserve Ashanti cultural traditions, practices and values
- Create unity, love and cooperation among families and individuals.
- Educate members on issues affecting daily life in the UK.

Our mission is to unite and support Ashantis in Coventry by preserving our cultural heritage, promoting member welfare, empowering future generations, and contributing to community development both in the UK and Ghana.
